Let’s share with you that the most used app of 2024 is currently testing a new feature on phones that provides text versions of voice messages, a capability already available on iPhones since May. This feature is included in the latest update of WhatsApp beta app (version 2.24.15.5).
A screenshot demonstrating this feature comes from the WABetaInfo team. The voice message transcription feature supports multiple languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Hindi, with plans to add more languages in the future. Users will need to download additional language packs for better privacy and security of their transcribed messages stored locally on their devices, which was the update shared with you.
